Meredith Hoffman is a freelance journalist and writer half from NYC, half from Alabama, currently based in Argentina. Before her leap to South America she worked as a local reporter in Brooklyn for two years for DNAinfo.com, wrote for the NY/Region section as an intern at the New York Times, and got her M.A. in journalism from NYU. She has also reported from Guatemala, the Arizona-Mexico border, and her sweet home Alabama.

    I must say after reading some of your pieces I am stunned at your complete lack of in-group loyalty. Rarely have I seen any person so consumed by pathological altruism. I vomited after reading your article on Vice: “Seeking Asylum and Finding Love”
